Happy Tails

We love it when our well-deserving dogs find their forever families.  That's what it's all about, bringing Man's Best Friend together with a family that will love it unconditionally every day for the rest of it's life.  That's what all dogs deserve.

LuLu had the sad distinction of being the dog we had the longest in our program. She was with us for almost two years!!!!  And we couldn't understand it!  A happier dog you'll never find!

LuLu loved people, dogs, babies, she loves life!

Emily and Sean Sedlock adopted Solo from us last year and wanted a playmate for him.  LuLu fit the bill perfectly!

We are so happy that our happy girl finally found a family that deserves her and will love her as much as we do!  Emily and Sean, thank you for once again adopting an HHPP dog!!

This adorable guy was found lying in a hole in an apartment complex.

Judy Dernick heard about an event he was going to be at and came to meet him.

It was love at first sight. Cooper was just to become a very lucky pup!  Judy has many years of experience with Labs and Lab mixes so Cooper will receive everything he needs.

Judy renamed Cooper to Clooney and it sounds just as adorable.

Happy life Clooney!  From abandoned to loved, this is what it's all about!

This handsome guy has had a rough time of it. He was rescued from the local county shelter in the nick of time.  Little did we know that he had suffered from some trauma.

Once we whisked him to our vet, we found out that his hip was dislocated.  After bringing him to a specialist we found out that both of his hips were dislocated and his pelvis was fractured!!  The poor boy must've been in a lot of pain but never even whimpered.

His medical foster mom and regular foster mom worked miracles with him and post surgery he is just like any other dog, happy and healthy.

Thanks to Irma White for seeing the joy and happiness and all around goofiness of our boy Ace!  Happy tails Ace, we love you!

HHPP Alumni

We get all teary eyed when our fur babies return to say "Hello" and "Thank You" for giving them such wonderful new lives.  And it's all thanks to our fantastic volunteers, fosters and wonderful donors and supporters.

Beautiful Luna was just a puppy when her savior, Fern de Santos, found her on Houston's east side.

She caught the attention of Rosa Mt Sanchez all the way in Austin!

She is all grown up and as beautiful as can be!

Fern, thank for being a warrior for the homeless dogs in Houston and Rosa, thank you for adopting an HHPP dog!

Betty, now known as Delilah, was found with who we think was her mother, Wilma.  It was so hot and the poor girls were so thirsty, they drank an entire bowl of water when one was offered to them!

Niccolas Schroeder is a student who was home from school and saw our little bean on a website.  He came to an event to meet her, and just like that, Betty had her forever home!

As you can see, Niccolas takes this luckly little gal on all sorts of adventures!  Happy life Delilah, you deserve it!

Ixchel, now known as Lulu, was a very scared little girl when she first came to HHPP. We had her at an adoption event and Heinz Eder and his girlfriend introduced their dog to her and they got along famously!

Heinz' little guy was such a delightful little guy and so well trained! Heinz now says Lulu is no longer the scared girl she was and she loves her fur brother!

That's so wonderful!  Thanks Heinz for sharing Lulu's update with us! We are so happy she found her very own family and she is well loved and thriving!
